I am enjoying a HUGE sigh of relief. We have accomplished so much with the wedding plans! We chose our date: we plan to get married on Saturday, April 17th, 2010 at the Mansion in Voorhees, NJ. (http://www.mansiononmainstreet.com) Only four months before I become Mrs. Matthias Krammel!
In about ten days I/ we have booked our venue including caterer and wedding cake, bought a wedding dress, bought dresses for the flowers girls, have a dress for the matron of honor, found a florist, photographer (http://www.melissachinici.com), hairstylist (my childhood friend Jenn), videographer, DJ, a pianist, and a gospel singer to do a special song, asked two pastors to participate in our wedding, finished our wedding guest list including all the addresses…wow! Good thing Matthias’ dad owns a printing company and can provide the invitation, wedding programs, and place cards. Planning a wedding is a TON of work!!!!!
Choosing my wedding dress was lots of fun! At first I was nervous but it got easier and easier.
Wedding dress shopping with one of the flower girls (there’s gonna be two!)
Angelina enjoyed looking at herself a LOT
Our pretty wedding chapel! (minus decorations)
This is where we’ll say “I do” – under the hoopa
It feels wonderful to have so much DONE! I think I can go to Germany with peace of mind that the bulk of things are done. However, once I return from Germany we still have lots to do including (most importantly) lots of premarital counseling, wedding cake testing, planning the rehearsal dinner, getting my wedding dress altered (only slightly), buying a veil, and lots more!
I must say I am looking forward to the wedding being over but I am determined to enjoy this engagment period as much as I can. It’s so easy to get consumed with the all the wedding details. I can’t wait to go to Germany – I leave on December 28th. We’ll be 10 minutes from France and an hour from Switzerland – it’s going to be a lovely trip!
